Monday, 29 April 2024, 11.55pm

Southbank Centre is seeking to appoint a Community Connector within its Creative Engagement department on a fixed-term, full-time basis. This role is instrumental in forging and nurturing connections with the local communities of Lambeth and Southwark in London. The individual will play a critical role in audience development, aiming to engage younger audiences, families, and Black, Asian and ethnically diverse audiences through various initiatives, including low-cost ticket and concession offers.

Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a passion for arts engagement, and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, from local councillors to community groups. While experience in similar roles is advantageous, individuals demonstrating a strong commitment to community engagement and willing to learn are encouraged to apply. The role offers a salary ranging from £30,000 to £33,000 per annum, based on skills and experience, alongside benefits such as pension contributions, annual leave, hybrid working options, and more.

Southbank Centre is especially interested in applications from residents of Lambeth and Southwark or those with a strong understanding of these communities. An information session via Zoom on 18th April will offer further insights into the role. Applications close at 23:59 on 29th April 2024.
