Dermot Kennedy performs at Dublin’s Marlay Park on 23 and 24 June with special guests David Kushner, Kingfishr and Nell Mescal.

Kennedy continues to make waves in the music industry with his fantastic new album titled ‘Sonder.’ Following its release, the album swiftly claimed the number one spot in both Ireland and the UK. This achievement marks his second consecutive number one album, with his debut ‘Without Fear’ previously becoming the highest-selling debut by an Irish artist in the millennium and attaining platinum status in the UK. ‘Sonder’ is available through Island Records/Interscope.

Renowned for his dynamic and powerful live performances, Dermot Kennedy has cemented his status as one of the biggest and fastest-selling live artists. In 2022, he made history with a series of eight monumental concerts across Ireland, captivating audiences with his captivating stage presence. Additionally, he headlined Electric Picnic, drawing a crowd of over 70,000 people in September. Notably, his debut album ‘Without Fear’ remains the best-selling album of the millennium by an Irish artist.

Building on the massive success of his platinum-selling debut, ‘Without Fear,’ Dermot Kennedy’s ‘Sonder’ delivers a collection of heartfelt, uplifting, and unifying songs. Tracks such as ‘Kiss Me,’ ‘Something To Someone,’ and ‘Better Days’ (which has achieved Gold status in the UK) have become highlights of his live performances, resonating with crowds worldwide. Early-release album tracks ‘Innocence and Sadness’ and ‘Dreamer’ have also left a lasting impact. The album’s concept revolves around the term “Sonder,” which encapsulates the realization that every passing stranger lives a life as vivid and complex as one’s own. This idea deeply influenced Kennedy throughout the album’s creation.

Kennedy will also perform three headline concerts at Limerick’s Thomond Park on Friday 7th July, Saturday 8 Julyand Sunday 9 July 2023.
