Technical Co-Production and Hire Coordinator
Scottish Opera is currently seeking a Technical Co-Production and Hire Coordinator for their Production Studios in Glasgow. This is a permanent position offering 28 hours per week, to be worked over four weekdays from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The salary for this role ranges from £25,481.39 to £31,145.65 (pro-rata) depending on experience.
The primary objective of the Technical Co-Production and Hire Coordinator is to provide efficient and professional administrative support to the Technical Director and Technical Heads of Departments. This involves coordinating and managing co-productions with partner organisations and overseeing production hires to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and maintaining technical information required for co-productions and production hires within the technical department, ensuring effective communication throughout the company.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
– Responding to clients’ and potential clients’ inquiries regarding production hires and coordinating information across departments to address requests related to the rental of specific productions. This involves confirming availability, providing archive recordings, technical information on scenery, costumes, props, and production documentation.
– Coordinating and monitoring production hires, including the preparation of contracts, customs documentation, organising transport and shipping arrangements, and overseeing the dispatch and return of hired productions at Scottish Opera premises.
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of two years’ experience in a general or technical administration role. Previous experience in a production support or stage management role would be advantageous.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and OneDrive is essential, with the ability to prepare reports and spreadsheets and analyse and interpret data. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are required. Holding a relevant Health and Safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely, would be desirable.
