Postdoctoral Researcher in Production Arts (Digital Performance and Production)
Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Production Arts (Digital Performance and Production). This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for two years with a salary ranging from £41,360 to £46,050 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of London Weighting, commensurate with experience.
The selected candidate will support the expansion of Guildhall’s engagement with Extended Reality (XR) technologies and related digital performance/production initiatives. Responsibilities include collaborating with various departments to advance the School’s digital performance and production initiatives and conducting research on XR, AR, and VR technologies, including potential involvement with motion capture, content development, and distribution methods like Unreal Engine and Unity.
The role requires an organised individual capable of managing their workload, meeting deadlines, articulating their practice, and explaining intricate processes. A commitment to safe working, inclusive practices, and knowledge of Health & Safety or willingness to undergo training in this area is essential.
