Emerging Artist Bursaries 2024

Friday, 12 April 2024, 1.00pm

The Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Emerging Artist Bursaries 2024 programme is now accepting applications from individual emerging artists based in, or originally from, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. This initiative is designed to support the development and creation of new work by emerging artists across various artforms, including architecture, circus, craft, dance, film, literature, music, opera, street art, theatre, traditional arts, and visual arts. Successful applicants will receive an award of €2,000 each, with up to 14 bursaries available for the period of July to December 2024.

To be eligible, artists must not have received funding from dlr for the same activity within the last 12 months, although they may apply for a different project. A maximum of one application per individual is permitted. The programme aims to support financially sustainable artistic ventures and will not cover building programmes, third-party grants, charity fundraising, council premises hire fees, international travel, or third-level education costs.

Interested applicants are invited to an online briefing session on 21 March at 10.30. For booking, please contact cbrown [at] dlrcoco.ie. The application deadline is 12 April at 1pm.
