The Kilkenny County Council Arts Office, in collaboration with Ossory Youth & the Drum Youth Centre, seeks a visual artist for an Artist in Residence position, focusing on youth arts. The residency spans mid-September to mid-November 2023 in two city-based youth centres in Kilkenny.

The selected artist will work with young people, utilising various materials and methods to stimulate creativity, encourage experimentation, and promote diversity and inclusion in the visual arts. Applicants should be practising artists with excellent interpersonal skills, organisational abilities, and an interest in working with young people.

Additional requirements include flexibility, unbiased approachability, team-oriented mindset, and high motivation. Experience with young people, knowledge of social media platforms, and possession of a driving licence are desirable.
