The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) invites applications for the position of Senior Philanthropy Officer. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year, depending on experience, complemented by a generous benefits package. Working hours are from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend commitments.

The Senior Philanthropy Officer will be instrumental in supporting the Development Manager to enhance the BSO’s individual giving programme. Key responsibilities include fostering relationships with donors contributing £1,000 to £2,499 annually, with a focus on increasing philanthropic income.

Candidates should possess experience in fundraising or equivalent relationship development, an understanding of donor motivations, a commitment to outstanding supporter care, and events management skills. Strong teamwork, exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, attention to detail, organisational skills, and adherence to tight deadlines are essential. A belief in the transformative power of music is also vital.
