Assistant Stage and Technical Manager (Production Management Assistant)
The BBC National Orchestra of Wales is currently seeking an Assistant Stage and Technical Manager, also known as a Production Management Assistant. This role involves working closely with the Stage and Technical Manager to oversee the day-to-day staging, logistical and technical operations, as well as the management of the Orchestra’s activities and studios at Hoddinott Hall and during touring. The Assistant Stage and Technical Manager will report to the Stage and Technical Manager as part of the Operations Team, ensuring the smooth running of rehearsals, concerts, recording sessions, and external events both in the UK and overseas.
Applicants for this position should possess a strong working knowledge of orchestra stage layouts and be familiar with driving the orchestra truck. The role will often require working during unsociable hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. However, there will be opportunities to take time off in lieu for the additional hours worked.
