Co-Principal Cello (Sitting No.2)
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is currently accepting applications from experienced and qualified candidates for the position of Co-Principal Cello. This is a full-time contract position, offering opportunities to occasionally lead the section.
The BSO is based in Poole, Dorset, and is known for its extensive performances across the south and south-west of England, as well as nationally and internationally.
Auditions for the Co-Principal Cello position will take place in Poole on Monday, 11th September 2023.
Candidates who are invited to audition will be provided with specific repertoire requirements, including performing the first movement of a Haydn C major or D major concerto (without cadenza), as well as the first movement of a major concerto (without cadenza). Excerpts will be emailed to those selected for an audition, and sight-reading may be included.
The closing date for applications is Tuesday, 18th July.
