Creative Folkestone is seeking applications for the role of Creative Fellow.

This is a step change opportunity and we want to work with an early career creative professional who is looking to develop their career as a producer, programmer, event manager or curator in the arts. We want to work with you if you are people focused, curious about your environment, and interested in how the arts can bring about change – in big or small ways.

We’re really interested in working with people who can bring their life experiences, skills and interests to this role. You will have 2 to 5 years work experience or have graduated from university within the last 2 years. You will be able to demonstrate an interest in the arts and in how creativity can bring about change but you don’t need to have a qualification in an arts subject or have been to university.

We recognise that you may have faced barriers to work previously and we welcome applications from those who may not have taken a traditional route. Most of all, you will be open to new ideas, ready to share your own ideas, keen to learn and able to support our creative projects as a good humoured and well organised member of the team.

What will you do in this role?
You will work across Creative Folkestone projects offering ideas, fresh perspectives and practical support to the creative project teams. You will help to publicise opportunities and events and take on project management and administrative responsibilities alongside creative development.

You will be invited to attend meetings across departments and hierarchy as part of your development and to contribute to our organisational change. We anticipate that by the end of the Fellowship you will be confident to suggest or lead your own project in preparation for a career as a creative producer, curator or project manager.
