Writing on the Wall (WoW) has a vacant opportunity for a new Project assistant to join the team.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for the arts who needs that first steps support into the sector. You will need to be organised, proactive and a good communicator, providing administrative support for our diverse programme of work including our 2020 Festival and projects such as Write to Work and What’s Your Story?

Duties:

Administrative Support
•Provide administrative and clerical support to WoW team
•To act as first point of contact for all public enquiries, taking details of calls, referring to the relevant staff member where appropriate or providing the necessary information.
•To answer basic enquiries about WoW’s work
•To support the maintenance of computer and paper-based office and administrative systems, including petty cash; incoming / outgoing mail; office equipment and supplies.

Festival, WoW Events and projects
•Working in a team to deliver festival and other events – booking speakers, venues, etc.
•Coordinating travel and hospitality for speakers
•Working with WoW staff to provide marketing information for publicity
•Collating and disseminating information prior to and following events
•Putting together relevant packs
•Collating attendees and updating WoW databases,
•Collating evaluation questionnaires,
•Sending out follow up materials and papers,
•Liaise with project related sessional staff as appropriate

The type of person we are looking for:-

We are looking for someone who is:
– Interested in working in an office based role providing support to different projects.
– Able to use computers, particular window applications such as Word and/or Excel
– Comfortable dealing with members of the public over the phone or in person and/or happy to develop confidence in this area.
