4 Nations: Music for Wind Band from Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales

Join Cork Philharmonic Winds for a musical journey through Ireland and our nearest neighbours.

Our programme includes T.C. Kelly’s colourful, symphonic “A Wexford Rhapsody”, Gordon Jacob’s classic “William Byrd Suite”, Malcolm Arnold’s light and inventive “Four Scottish Dances” and the melodic lines of Alun Hoddinott’s “Welsh Airs and Dances”.

And we're delighted to present the Irish premiere of “Trad Session” by Waterford composer William Chester!

About Cork Philharmonic Winds

Cork Philharmonic Winds was founded to give Cork-based wind, brass and percussion players the opportunity to perform original music of the highest quality written for wind ensembles and bands. It has built a reputation for performances of some of the most challenging music in the band repertoire while working with some of Ireland’s best wind and brass soloists.
