The Playhouse is currently seeking a Technical Manager to join their team on a full-time basis, with a salary range of £25,000-£28,000 per annum, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to ensure all activities, rehearsals, and performances meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. Maintenance of facilities is also a critical aspect of this role. The Technical Manager will align their work with the priorities set by the CEO and Senior Management Team, under the supportive line management of the Development Director.

The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background in stage skills including lighting, sound, and AV, particularly within a receiving house or producing theatre environment. Qualifications or training in rigging and scenic construction are essential. A comprehensive understanding of the technical requirements across various departments within a dynamic arts organisation is necessary, alongside a substantial level of experience in facilities management. A commitment to safe working practices, including adherence to CDM 2015, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are mandatory.
