Provide reference assistance (in person, online, and telephone) to faculty, students, staff, and all other users of the Center for Music and Media’s entire range of resources: collections including recorded music, video, printed music, books, and online materials; services including circulation, reserves, scheduling, physical delivery, and online delivery; facilities including recorded media playback and classrooms. Communicate and carry out the Center’s policies.

Qualifications
– Required Education:
– High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education:
– Bachelor’s degree. College major or formal coursework in music or cinema; or a related humanistic discipline; or the equivalent experience.

Required Experience:
– 1 year of office experience. 1 year of customer-service experience

Preferred Experience:
– Experience working at a Library.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
– Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills. The ability to interact with a diverse population of students, faculty, and library colleagues. Knowledge of music and/or cinema. Basic office computing applications (word processing, spreadsheet, database, simple graphic design). Attention to detail.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
– Experience with an integrated library system or similar computer applications. Understanding of music, video, and libraries in the culture of academic teaching and learning. Knowledge of one or more languages besides English.
