The Night With… concert series invites emerging composers to apply for their Composer Development Scheme, focused on the Magnetic Resonator Piano (MRP). This opportunity offers composers a chance to work closely with Xenia Pestova Bennett and the MRP, an augmented acoustic piano offering novel acoustical capabilities.

Five selected composers will be invited to an introductory MRP workshop on 22nd September. Participants will then create a 5-10 minute piece for the MRP to be workshopped in November. At least one composition will be chosen for a concert in Glasgow in December.

Submissions should include a 200-word proposal outlining the composer’s interest in the MRP and the expected benefit from this development opportunity. Additionally, two existing scores and/or recordings should be submitted. Application deadline is 18th August 2023.
