Sage Gateshead is seeking an Executive Producer for the organisation as we move into a new era of programming and partnership.

This is a new role. If you are passionate about bringing the best music to a wide range of people and interested to lead a team which will build new artistic and commercial partnerships, we’d like to hear from you.

The purpose of the role is to:
To be part of the Sage Gateshead leadership team contributing to strategy, overall
direction and fundraising.
To ensure that Sage Gateshead has a world class Contemporary and Commercial
Programme as a major part of Sage Gateshead’s programme and identity.
To build and develop artistic and commercial partnerships and opportunities.
To ensure Sage Gateshead’s programme strongly features diverse artists and new
commissions as part of our Creative Diversity strategy and plans.

Experience & skills.

Essential:
– Significant track record in producing music events at the highest level across a range of genres, with a strong network and knowledge to draw on.
– Strong track record of working strategically and planning and reporting as part of a wider organisation strategy.
– Proven experience in delivering creative diversity and excellence.
– Significant experience of making commercial deals and working in different delivery models, including partnership working. A proven track record in driving profit, whilst delivering the highest quality experiences for audiences and artists.
– Strong track record in drawing on data to drive programming and deal decisions.
– A high level of operational experience, understanding of how large-scale venues
operate and ability to manage large teams of people.

Desirable:
– Experience as a member of a leadership team

Knowledge.

Essential:
– Knowledge and passion for music, with an in-depth knowledge of at least one genre of music and an ability to work within a wide range of genres.
– Strong commercial acumen and drive.
– Ability to work at a high level across teams of people, superb networking and relationship building skills.
– Exceptional project management skills, including financial management.
– Working knowledge of technical production management.
– Excellent knowledge, experience and understanding in relation to Health & Safety
