Irish Premiere of Haydn concerto for two French Horns + Dvorak 9th Symphony
County Kildare Orchestra is celebrating 21 years of bringing orchestral music to Kildare.
A voluntary organisation, from Monday to Friday orchestra members are retail staff, marketers, doctors, waitresses, full time parents along with some professional musicians. On Sundays a passion for orchestral music brings us together in Kildare to play music that is challenging and rewarding and this year’s summer concert is our most challenging yet!
The orchestra is delighted to be accompanying distinguished French Horn players Cormac Ó’hAodáin & Brian Daly in the Irish Premier of Haydn’s concerto for Two French Horns.
Under the baton of Lorcan Daly, the orchestra is also excited to be performing audience favourites Mozart’s Overture to the Magic Flute and Dvorak’s Symphony No.9 “From The New World”. This symphony is regarded as the genesis of many well loved tunes including “Going Home” and movie themes such as the unforgettable theme from Jaws.
Come along and see how many themes you can spot!
