Music Adviser

Music Adviser

Monday, 10 August 2020, 12.00pm

The Arts Council has a major responsibility for developing the artform of music in Ireland. It fulfils this responsibility by supporting the creative development of composers and musicians and the public’s engagement with music through a number of awards and grants to individuals and organisations.

The Arts Council’s role in developing and supporting Irish traditional music and song is carried out through its traditional arts programmes. The Council is not directly involved with the commercial/industry aspects of the music sector.

The Arts Council now wishes to appoint a Music Adviser who will meet the needs of the organisation both from a quality and service delivery perspective, to assist the Council in the process of evaluating applications received from individuals and organisations for awards, schemes, grants and other funding opportunities offered by the Council.
