The Bonk
The Bonk is a musical project based around compositions by Waterford musician and songwriter, Philip Christie . Gathering influences from 60’s garage, jazz and experimental pop, recursive rhythms and improvised melodies are brought together in loose minimalist song forms.

The groups first collection of recordings, The Bonk Seems To Be A Verb, was released as a limited edition cassette via Drogheda label thirtythree-45 in October 2017. In the time since, the band has been recording new material for a planned release in 2020. May Feign, the latest single from this new clump is available as a digital download from Bandcamp.
