MTU CSM A&R Record Label Feedback Session- 7.30pm Curtis auditorium Monday April 4th

Join us to observe the session!

FREE ADMISSION

Faculty of our BA in Popular Music have organised an A&R Record Label Feedback Session which will take place on Monday April 4th at 7:30pm in the Curtis Auditorium at MTU Cork School of Music. We will welcome Jamie Searls head of A&R and Commercial Partnerships at Tileyard Education UK and Zach Fox A&R Scout at PMR Records.

The A&R or artist and repertoire department of a record label or music publishing company is responsible for talent scouting and overseeing the artistic development of recording artists and songwriters.

Students from the BAPM and MA specialising in Pop at MTU School of Music will submit work for review at this session. We are inviting students and artists from both inside and outside of MTU CSM to join us to observe the feedback session. Unfortunately, we cannot facilitate feedback for music other than the work of the students of BAPM to be reviewed. However, following a similar session last year, many found that observing feedback of other work was of huge benefit to all budding recording artists in attendance.

Admission is free. We look forward to meeting you there!

ABOUT THE GUESTS

Zach Fox

Zach's role comprises of finding exciting new artists to sign to the label in addition to helping the current roster with the process of making their music; through setting up sessions with songwriters and producers and offering feedback on tracks.

PMR Records was formed in 2011 by brothers Ben & Daniel Parmar. Over the last 11 years, the label has had success with artists such as Disclosure, who achieved a Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Latch', Jessie Ware, Jamie Woon & SG Lewis.
