On the calendar for performances at the Royal Albert Hall is “Prom 64: Berlioz’s The Trojans”, scheduled to begin at 16:00. The concert will feature Berlioz’s grand opera, “The Trojans”, executed by the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique and the Monteverdi Choir. They will be accompanied by an ensemble of esteemed soloists.

The opera, “The Trojans” by Hector Berlioz, has a duration of 235 minutes. The line-up of performers includes Laurence Kilsby taking on the roles of Iopas & Hylas, Rebecca Evans as Hècube, Alex Rosen portraying Hector/Sentinelle II, and Alice Coote as Cassandra. Other notable performers include Michael Spyres as Aeneas, Paula Murrihy playing Dido, Lionel Lhote as Coroebus, and Adèle Charvet in the role of Ascanius. The ensemble also features William Thomas, Ashley Riches, and Beth Taylor in the roles of Narbal, Panthus, and Anna respectively. Dinis Sousa will be leading the performance as the conductor.
