The Barbican Centre is offering a 3 month paid internship working in the Communications team supporting the Barbican’s international Theatre and Dance programme.

The internship is a unique opportunity to learn about Communications in the arts. You will get hands-on experience by monitoring and distributing media coverage, helping to run photo-calls and distribute photographs, answering journalists’ enquiries by phone and email, as well as learning the nuts and bolts of running a busy Communications office by providing administrative support for the Communications team.

You will be specifically working on the 2020 Theatre and Dance programme, which includes productions as part of our 2020 season Inside Out as well as preparing for the next Theatre and Dance season launch in the spring.

The 3 month internship will start on Mon 13 Jan 2020 for 4 days per week, and working hours are 10am to 6pm. Attending press nights is encouraged and time off in lieu is given for evening work.
