The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD) invites applications for the position of a tutor to deliver Musicianship classes within its Junior Conservatoire courses, catering to students aged 8 to 18 years, and occasionally for the Music First course for 7 to 11 year-olds. This role is integral to the RWCMD Young Musicians and community lesson scheme.

Candidates should possess substantial experience in working with children and young people, alongside a well-established teaching methodology. The role demands a commitment to learners’ rights, high expectations for each learner’s achievement, and the ability to develop quality relationships with colleagues and families. A focus on innovative teaching practices and continuous professional development is essential. Additionally, a personal commitment to enhancing Welsh language skills is desirable.
