The Jupiter String Quartet will give a virtual concert presented by the Asheville Chamber Music Series in North Carolina, recorded from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. This concert will be available to ticket holders on September 4 and 5 at 7:30pm ET, and September 6 at 3pm ET, via a private YouTube broadcast. Originally scheduled to perform together in Asheville, the Jupiter will share the concert with celebrated pianist Michael Brown. The quartet will perform Haydn’s String Quartet in A major, Op. 20, No. 6 along with Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, Op. 132. Brown will play Haydn’s Fantasia in C major, Hob. XVII:4, “Capriccio,” and Mendelssohn’s Variations Sérieuses, Op. 54.
