Genie Ensemble in Concert
Members of the Genie Ensemble cordially invite all music lovers and enthusiasts to join them for their first concert of 2023 in St Columba’s Church, Ennis, Co. Clare!
With Aditya Mukherji on violin and bodhrán, Yuko Saito on violin, Hains Tooming on viola and Adrian Ivicevic on cello, Genie Ensemble will present to you a diverse choice of pieces like Fire Dance by Soon Hee Newbold, Blame It On The Boogie by The Jacksons or Maharaja by Doug Spata.
Genie Ensemble is a newly founded strings+ ensemble based in Co Clare. Active from 2022, it comprises recent graduates of the Irish World Academy at the University of Limerick. The ensemble strives to blend classical music with various genres such as Irish traditional music, jazz, pop and film music in order to attract audiences of different interests.
The concert is generously supported by Creative Ireland and Clare County Council and the venue is provided by the Drumcliffe Union of Parishes of the Church of Ireland. The entrance is free.
