The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking a Tours & Projects Manager to join its Concerts team. This role is pivotal for the planning and execution of international touring logistics, offering the unique opportunity for the postholder to accompany the Orchestra on its international tours.

Responsibilities encompass working closely with both internal teams and external partners such as promoters and agents to coordinate touring programmes and artists, managing tour budgets, and ensuring the smooth operation of all travel arrangements for the Orchestra and artists. This includes negotiating with promoters for travel, accommodation, and local transfers, managing visa requirements, and arranging instrument transportation. The role also involves issuing contracts, creating detailed tour schedules, and addressing any challenges that arise during tours.

Candidates should possess strong organisational and negotiation skills, with an ability to manage complex logistics and provide creative solutions. The position includes joint line-management duties and involvement in a variety of non-standard touring projects.
