FiddleOn, the magazine devoted to fiddle-playing, is merging with The Living Tradition, the folk and traditional music magazine.

FiddleOn was founded by Jed Mugford and edited from Oxford for 15 years. Mugford commented: ‘The Living Tradition offers scope for enhanced fiddle-related articles … and all subscriptions to FiddleOn will be honoured by The Living Tradition.’

The Living Tradition is edited by Fiona Heywood in Kilmarnock, Scotland, and Jim Byrne in Donegal, Ireland. They recently took over the editorship from founding editor and publisher Pete Heywood. Established in 1993, The Living Tradition reached its one hundredth issue in 2014.
