Seisiún Mór

Sunday, 28 April 2024, 2.00pm

Seisiún Mór at The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre is a vibrant celebration of Irish music and culture. Named in honour of the legendary Séamus Ennis, this open music slow session invites musicians of all levels to come together to play Traditional Irish tunes in a steady and relaxed environment. Led by the talented Paudie O’Connor, the event is a heartfelt commemoration of Séamus Ennis’s legacy.

This free event will be held in our iconic courtyard and all musicians, whether seasoned or just starting out, are welcome to join.

We look forward to welcoming all musicians from near and far to join us in celebration to mark the birthday of our namesake, Séamus Ennis.

Séamus Ennis, a master Uilleann piper, singer, and storyteller, left an indelible mark on Irish culture. His work in collecting folk music and folklore continues to inspire generations.

Refreshments will be available, so you can enjoy the music with a cup of tea or a pint of your favourite brew. Let the music flow, the stories unfold, and the spirit of Séamus Ennis live on!

N.B– This event will be held in our outdoor covered courtyard, so please do dress appropriately for the weather.

Kindly supported by Dublin City Council.
