Homebeat has announced its return to Metronome with a triple-header of experimental and explosive sounds.

Natalia Beylis, a talented musician known for her distinctive style, will take the stage. Beylis’s music lies between being a sonic storyteller and a multi-instrumental explorer. She has an impressive discography, with over 40 albums released, including solo works and collaborations. Her compositions often feature traditional instruments such as pianos, organs, keyboards, and mandolas, but she also incorporates non-musical sound sources into her music. During her live performances, Beylis skillfully layers seemingly disparate sounds, creating intriguing juxtapositions and garbled parallels. She explores the sonic potential of found objects, cassette tapes, and field recordings, pushing the boundaries of musical expression.

SSMMÜTT, a four-piece psychedelic passion project, will also grace the stage. Formed in 2017, the band has been making waves in the music scene. The core members include Rob Mirolo as Band Lead and on Bass, Niamh McGoldrick on vocals, Ben Bix on bass and modular synth, and Jason McNamara on drums. Originally conceived as a recording project to explore Rob’s musical influences, SSMMÜTT quickly garnered a devoted following due to their unique sound. The band effortlessly blends elements of krautrock, drone, doom/stoner metal, ksomiche, and jazz, resulting in a genre-defying experience. Their live shows are renowned for their improvisational and chaotic nature, captivating audiences and leaving a lasting impression.

Trick Mist, the musical alias of Irish songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Gavin Murray, completes the lineup. Murray’s music is a blend of original samples, storytelling lyrics, and nods to traditional Irish music and experimental electronics. His second full-length album, “The Hedge Maze and The Spade,” released in September 2022 via Pizza Pizza Records, is a contemplative collection of songs that Murray crafted after the passing of his 96-year-old grandmother. Trick Mist’s music creates a captivating, immersive, and meditative space, inviting listeners to embark on a reflective musical journey.
