Internationally acclaimed songwriters Jo Beth Young and Serious Child tour the UK & Ireland this Autumn with the Shadow Navigation Shows

Acclaimed musician, poet and artist Jo Beth Young teams up with roots musician Serious Child and a joint band for her first tour since 2019. The Shadow Navigation Shows will bring songs, stories and visuals to navigate the seas of human experience and heal our collective souls. They will feature material from both artists in intimate shows in beautiful and unusual venues across Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland.

Jo Beth Young
Formerly known as Talitha Rise and RISE, Jo Beth is known for her ethereal vocals and mesmeric music which have won her awards internationally and sell out shows in the UK.
Writing from a place of raw authenticity, her poetic world comes armed with lullabies interwoven with battle cries; at times heartbreaking, but always hopeful.
Her live shows bring deep, emotional magic to the audience, capturing the attention of the national press who have described them as “unmissable” and “exquisite”. Latest single, Wolf Song has been released ahead of her tour of the UK and Ireland. The song has been taken from her upcoming album Broken Spells.

Serious Child
Serious Child is Sussex-based songwriter and roots musician Alan Young (no relation to Jo Beth); and one of the most distinctive voices on the folk scene. His performances are characterised by a deep connection with his audience and a restlessness as he moves between an array of instruments. He tells stories, laughs and chats like an old friend, whilst shifting seamlessly in styles from music hall to the saddest of folk ballads.
Serious Child will feature in his upcoming tours a charity project with Save Ukraine https://saveukraine.org/ who specialise in rescuing Ukrainian children from Russian occupied territory, and features a set of songs about his brother Dave who is an emergency relief driver in the war (see attached video )
