The International Literature Festival Dublin (ILFD) invites artists, creative practitioners, and collectives from all arts backgrounds to submit proposals for its 2024 edition, under the theme Words Upside Down. This theme encourages exploration of how we navigate a rapidly changing world, discern truth amidst a flood of information, and rejuvenate our collective and individual imaginations. The festival seeks proposals that evoke curiosity, initiate conversation, or present new listening experiences, particularly those connecting audiences with the natural or artificial world. Proposals should challenge conventional literary formats, aiming to thrill, challenge, and empower attendees.

The festival, set in Dublin City’s Merrion Square Park from 17 to 26 May 2024, offers a unique opportunity for artists based in Ireland to present original projects, explore new ideas, adapt existing works, or share small-scale completed works with a wider audience. Applicants must cater to audiences aged 16 and above and be prepared to present their work during the festival dates. The ILFD will provide technical, curatorial, promotional, and marketing support, along with access to necessary technical equipment. Funding ranging from €500 to €1000 per project is available.

Applications are open until 5 pm on Monday, 11 March. This opportunity is exclusive to artists residing on the island of Ireland.
