Irish Chamber Orchestra - Mozart, Bach and Tchaikovsky

Wednesday, 10 April 2024, 7.30pm

Enjoy three iconic masterworks from the baroque, classical and romantic catalogues, performed and directed by the effervescent violinist, Carolin Widmann. Find out why we love performing Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, one of the best loved and legendary of serenades. To hear J.S. Bach’s A minor Violin Concerto is to hear a genius at work. One of the all-time great concertos, be amazed as at this show-off work full of fantastic, magical melodies. Tchaikovsky adored Florence. Feel the love and joy as you walk the streets and delve into his sparkling Souvenir de Florence.

“The gifted members of the Irish Chamber Orchestra sound equally at home… throwing themselves into the fray with a no-holds-barred spontaneous abandonment that captures the music as if spellbound by its dazzling inventiveness” Julian Haycock, BBC Music Magazine

“The musicians, all masters of their instruments, played as if their lives (and ours) depended on it, lifting us beyond ourselves, putting us in touch with what we were, what we are and what we will be” Jim O’ Brien, The Farming Independent
