Applications for the Northern Ireland Boardroom Apprentice programme are now open. The programme is scheduled to run from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2024. The application deadline is 3pm on Monday 19 June 2023.

Open to individuals aged 16 or over, regardless of their background or abilities, this board learning and development programme seeks to recruit a diverse group of Boardroom Apprentices. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join host boards and participate in a series of expert-led learning days throughout the year.

Individuals who have previously held board positions within public-sector bodies or possess substantial experience on private, voluntary, community, or social enterprise boards will not be considered.

Participating in the Boardroom Apprentice programme is considered a valuable opportunity. In return, it is expected that within 12 months of completion, participants will secure a board seat within an organisation of personal significance.
