As part of its 2023 programme, the Kilkenny Arts Festival is set to host “Encounters” between 15 and 17 August. The event will see prominent artists from the festival’s lineup, such as Martin Hayes, Aoife Ní Bhriain, and Colin Dunne, presenting mini performances at various locations throughout the city.

These performances, designed for either individual attendees or small groups of up to six, will each last approximately 20 minutes. Due to the unique and individualised nature of the event, attendees will not be aware in advance of which artist they will encounter or the specific content of the performance.

Tickets for “Encounters” are priced at €10. Given the intimate setting and limited availability, those interested are encouraged to book their places early.
