Children's Activities at the 12th Glenarm Festival of Voice

Saturday, 27 August 2022, 10.00am

Join us for some family friendly activities at The 12th Glenarm Festival of Voice!
Come along to the stableyard of Glenarm Castle on Saturday 27th September, and find us right next door to ice cream emporium The Milk Parlour, where we’ve planned a whole day of family friendly activities, all completely free!

Children aged 5-13 can try out our Singing Workshops with choir director India Chapman-Webb and pianist Lorraine Stanley: tickets are free but need to be booked. The first singing workshop is from 10-10.45am and is for children aged 5-9, with a mini performance at the end.

There are free craft activities for children from 11-midday and then we welcome actor Sean Kearns for a Storytime session. Sean was our ‘Mysterious Man’ in our production of ‘Into The Woods’ in February and he’ll be telling some local folk tales and stories suitable for children of all ages from 12- 12.45pm.

From 1.15-2pm come along and try out some musical activities with India Chapman-Webb and Lorraine Stanley – this is a drop-in event, suitable for children of all ages: no booking required.

Later in the afternoon there are two more singing workshops, one more for the 5-9 age group and one for 9-13 year olds. These need to be booked but are free and there’ll be a mini performance at the end of each session.
