Perspectives: Nils Frahm - Music for Dublin
Composer-producer-pianist Nils Frahm is set to perform his latest project, 'Music for Dublin', at the National Concert Hall (NCH) in a two-night residency. This event forms part of a global tour where each performance is uniquely dedicated to the host city. Frahm's Dublin shows are scheduled for the 6th and 7th of July, 2024.
Frahm, known for his blend of experimental, neo-classical, ambient, and electronica, reinterprets the boundaries between classical and electronic music. His approach to the piano is marked by contemplation and intimacy, combined with his distinctive use of ambient and atmospheric electronica.
Frahm has a history of sold-out concerts at the Barbican in London since 2014 and curated a weekend of music, film, and art in 2016. He recently launched his own label, LEITER, with manager Felix Grimm. During the COVID-19 lockdown, they released 'Old Friends New Friends', featuring a collection of solo piano tracks from Frahm's twelve-year archive.
The NCH will announce the full concert programme curated by Nils Frahm, which will include performances in The Studio and Kevin Barry Recital Room. These events are part of the NCH's Perspectives series.
Tickets for the 'Perspectives: Nils Frahm - Music for Dublin' are priced at €29, €39, and €49, with discounts available for Friends of NCH and groups of 10 or more. Tickets for the 6th July show will go on sale on the 22nd of November, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
