See the City: The Brendan Behan Songbook

Put on your walking shoes and embark on a musical journey through the streets of Brendan Behan. Historian Donal Fallon and singer Fergus Whelan will lead you through the city, following in Behan’s footsteps to discover the places that inspired and shaped the legendary playwright, poet, and performer. Marking the sixtieth anniversary year of his passing, this unique walking tour offers a glimpse into the life of one of Ireland’s most iconic figures and includes performances of songs from the Behan family songbook.

Donal Fallon is a historian of Dublin, with a particular interest in the social history of the city. A founder of the popular Come Here To Me! blog in 2009, since 2019 he has presented the Three Castles Burning podcast, exploring the many histories of the Irish capital. Formerly Historian-in-Residence to Dublin City Council, his publications include 14 Henrietta Street and Three Castles Burning.
