Literary Editor
The Literary Editor position at Verbal requires a professional to work closely with the Management Team, contributing to long-term business planning and sustainability of the organisation. This interdisciplinary role involves utilising and creating best-practice guidance for AI software in content creation, quality assurance of stories used in Verbal projects in collaboration with Corporate Services and the Programme department, and supporting the design and development of new online Creative Writing training courses.
Applicants must hold a completed PhD in a relevant subject area or have a track record of significant publication in creative writing. Experience and knowledge in literature research, particularly in areas such as reader response, narrative immersion, and engagement, are essential. Additionally, applicants should possess teaching or workshop facilitation experience in creative writing (prose), an interest in new media and technology, and the ability to conduct individual research and disseminate results effectively. Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills are also required
