MediaHuis Ireland is looking for a full-time, permanent Sound Designer/Engineer. The role involves engineering, recording, mixing, and editing podcasts for multiplatform dissemination. Successful candidates will liaise with producers and journalists to develop high-quality audio content that aligns with Irish Independent editorial strategy. Responsibilities also extend to managing professional audio equipment, pre-production and post-production, and the recording and editing of video for various platforms.

Requirements
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in recording and editing podcasts
– Advanced skills in audio editing software, including Adobe Audition and ProTools
– Desirable: experience in video editing software
– Expertise in audio imaging, such as making stings, sonic logos, idents, and ads
– Ability to work to strict deadlines
– Strong technical and non-technical skills in radio or podcast production
