The National Gallery of Ireland is seeking a Publications and Images Coordinator for its Dublin location (D02 K303). This permanent, full-time role is designed to support the Gallery’s mission of providing access to and care of fine art, facilitating the production of Gallery publications, managing the use of digital images of the art collection, and acquiring third-party content.

Responsibilities include supporting the Publications and Images Manager in coordinating and editing key publications such as the Year in Review, Annual Report, and The Gallery magazine. The role also involves supporting the production of other Gallery publications across various departments, coordinating magazine postal lists, managing the publications stock inventory, liaising with cultural institutions for image sourcing, and ensuring digital media files are maintained to high standards.

Candidates should possess a third-level qualification in English Literature, Publishing, Creative Digital Media, or a related field, with experience in publishing, editing, and/or image and rights management. Strong customer service skills, project management, and administration capabilities are essential, alongside proficiency in IT and digital processes, including Adobe Photoshop. An interest in the cultural sector and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are also required.

The position offers a salary in accordance with the Executive Officer (PPC) pay scale, starting at €34,562 per annum, reflecting the pay adjustments as of 1 October 2023. The role is full-time, 35 hours per week, with occasional requirements for late evenings and weekends. Applicants must be compliant with Gallery screening and security procedures.
