The English Folk Dance and Song Society (EFDSS) invites applications for a freelance Tutor role for the London Youth Folk Ensemble (LYFE), based at Cecil Sharp House, London. LYFE, a non-auditioned regional youth ensemble, caters to young musicians aged 11-19 (up to 24 for D/deaf and disabled young people), passionate about folk music.

The successful candidate will co-lead the Ensemble along with the current co-tutor, Alexandra Patterson, and the LYFE team. This is a fixed term position, starting in September 2023 and ending in July 2025, subject to an annual review. The appointed Tutor will be responsible for creating and performing creative arrangements of folk and traditional music.
