Rosie is a soprano and an aspiring musicologist from Rostrevor, County Down. She is currently undertaking the Masters in Performance and Musicology degree at Maynooth University where she studies voice with Ms Kathryn Smith. Her ongoing thesis, supervised by Prof. Fiona M. Palmer, explores the profile of the oratorio soprano within the British marketplace in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Rosie completed her BMus degree at Maynooth University in 2023, graduating with First Class honours and she was also awarded the Third Year BMus Prize for the highest mark. As a keen choral singer, Rosie has previously performed with the Ulster Youth Chamber Choir at the 2018 BBC Proms in the Park at Titanic Slipways which was broadcast on BBC 1. In August 2023, she was awarded the William Lauder and Soprano Scholarship with the Charles Wood Singers where she performed in broadcasts on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Radio 3.

In Maynooth, she has previously performed with the Maynooth University Chamber Choir, and she is a current member of the Maynooth University Choral Society with whom she has performed choral works including Haydn’s Creation and Fauré’s Requiem. Having developed an interest in Plainchant during her undergraduate studies, Rosie is also a member of the Schola Gregoriana Maynooth, an all-female ensemble that specialises in plainchant performance.
As a soprano in her early career, Rosie is also lucky to have had opportunities to participate in masterclasses led by Paul Farrington, Sharon Carty and the late Kathryn Harries OBE.
